Buckley Dodds has been in the public accounting profession for over 30 years and in our present location at 1140 – 1185 West Georgia St for close to 25 years. During this time we have gained a wide knowledge of businesses, and not for profit organizations.
Con graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1969 with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and obtained his Chartered Accounting designation in 1972. Con is the firm’s founding partner and has guided it over the years to emerge as one of the ten best accounting firms in Vancouver. He was a recipient of the Wealth Management Award as being one of the top 5% of estate and tax practitioners in Vancouver.
Con has been a director in several enterprises, both public and private companies and non-profits. He serves a wide verity of clients in the capacity of accounting business consulting, financing, taxation and estate planning. He was also selected as a delegate to the Technologies of the Future conference in San Francisco hosted by the author of, The World is Flat, Thomas Friedman. The conference addressed the latest technology trends affecting the future of businesses and how businesses will need to position themselves to take advantage of these trends and not to become redundant.He is also the Vancouver delegate to the conference in New York addressing the cities of the future which will discuss, amongst other things, the business’ a future city will need to attract to be a truly successful city.
Geoff graduated in Commerce with a major in Accounting and Finance, from the University of British Columbia and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1980. Geoff is the managing and personnel partner and his practice consists of audit, assurance, accounting, tax, and business advisory services for small to medium sized organizations. He has extensive experience in public companies and regulatory issues, the film industry, not for profit organizations, corporate and NPO governance issues, and the hospitality industry.
Geoff is also very active in assisting not-for-profit organizations as a trusted advisor, treasurer and board director over his professional career. In 2013 Geoff was elected to the Council (Board of Directors) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C. and has been very active in the merger of the three Accounting Professions to the new Chartered Professional Accountants of BC, CPABC. Geoff is currently Treasurer on the board of CPABC and was recently elected to the position of second Vice Chair. He will rise to the position of Chair of the CPABC Board of Directors in 2020 through 2021. Geoff also sits on the following Boards & Committees:

Michael Shomali is a qualified CPA from the State of California. He has over 18 years of US tax experience. His expertise lies in a wide variety of tax services, including tax planning, business structure and cross border taxes.Michael graduated from California State University in 1994 with a B.S. degree in accounting.

Mickey Goldstein graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in 2006 and obtained her CA, CPA in 2010. She also holds a CPA (Illinois) designation. She has worked with public companies in both Canada and the US, non-for-profit organizations and private enterprises. She has a breadth of experience including audit and assurance services, initial public offerings, financial statement preparation, and corporate tax preparation. Mickey has sat on the Board of Directors as treasurer for a non profit organization, which has helped her to gain an understanding of business practises from a client’s point of view. Dennis graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Accounting in 1986. He obtained his CPA designation in 1987 and MBA in 1989, all from the Philippines. He is currently reviewing for the U.S. Certified Public Accountants examination under the state of New Hampshire.
Dennis joined Buckley Dodds LLP in 2002 as a senior staff accountant. Dennis worked for the Small Business and Tax Group of a national firm for five years prior to joining Buckley Dodds Parker LLP. He assists our clients with accounting and taxation services. Some of the services he provides include compilations, on-site setup of accounting systems, and extensive tax assistance.
Dennis is a registered Community Service Volunteer of Canada Revenue Agency. In his spare time Dennis enjoys going to the movies, but often you can find him at the office in his free time.
