Rick Bains
Rick graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of British Columbia in 2005. The following year he was back at UBC and obtained his Diploma in Accounting. He is currently an articling student in the CA School of Business and is working towards his CA designation.Rick joined Buckley Dodds as a staff accountant in 2007. He assists our clients with accounting and taxation services. Some of the services he provides include compilations, personal & corporate tax returns and audit support.
Rick enjoys volunteering in the community, working out, and travelling as much as possible.

Chris Brien
Chris was born and raised in British Columbia. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Royal Roads University in Victoria and is now a student of the CA School of Business, working towards his CA designation. He has several years experience in public accounting along with some entrepreneurial experience.Chris joined Buckley Dodds as a staff accountant in September of 2008. He assists our clients with accounting and taxation services. Some of the services he provides include compilations, personal tax returns, and audit support.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys biking and playing golf, volunteering in the community, and spending time with his friends and family.

Anne Bruchet
Anne received her Diploma in Accounting from the University of British Columbia in 2008. Prior to her Diploma in Accounting, Anne completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of British Columbia in 2007. Anne is currently an articling student at the CA School of Business and is working towards her CA designation.Anne joined Buckley Dodds as a Staff Accountant in 2009. She assists our clients with accounting and taxation services.
In Anne's spare time she enjoys being active, travelling, baking and spending time with friends.

Debbie Janson
Debbie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art History from UBC and has work experience in a variety of fields including accounting, event planning, office management and administration. For many years she worked in the not-for-profit sector of the Film and Television industry. With over 10 years experience as a bookkeeper, Debbie joined Margaret Newton & Co. Chartered Accountants in 2006. She joined Buckley Dodds, CA’s in 2010, and will assist in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns as well as audit support.

Shiho Wakelin
Shiho graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. After working in the hotel industry for several years, she realized that it was important to obtain a certification in order to establish a career in Canada. She has chosen accounting and is currently working towards her professional designation. She joined Buckley Dodds as a staff accountant in 2009.Outside of work Shiho enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, playing music, hiking and gardening. She is actively involved in the Vancouver Youth Sport Development Society as a Treasurer and assists the Society in fundraising efforts and preparing and submitting grant requests.

Lillian Wong
Prior to joining Buckley Dodds, she worked as a staff accountant with Margaret Newton & Co. CA for 18 years. During the years with Margaret Newton, Lillian provided clients with accounting, taxation and audit services with an emphasis on reviews and audits of final production cost reports for film and television industries.
Lillian teaches Cantonese in Chinese Schools. She has served as the president and/or treasurer of the strata council of the building she lives in for over 10 years. She attends and volunteers at her church. In her spare time, she enjoys playing badminton, singing, watching television, travelling and enjoying good food with family and friends.

Vanessa Wong
Vanessa has over twenty years experience in the accounting industry. She began working for Margaret Newton & Co. CA in 1988. As Margaret's practice and staff expanded, her position evolved from being the sole office administrator and accounting technician to more of a quality control manager. She looks forward to a broadened role with the joining of the two firms.
Vanessa has a varied educational background (Fine Arts diploma from VCC, Bachelor of Arts degree from UBC, and marketing management diploma from BCIT). She enjoys spending time with family, reading novels, and watching the History and Space television channels in her leisure time.

David Yeung, CGA
David obtained his CGA designation in 2005. He has experience in preparation of tax returns, tax planning, investment, analysis, audit, review, and compilation engagements. He worked in a non-profit organization for several years before joining Margaret Newton & Co. CA’s in 2003. In his spare time, David enjoys watching movies and travelling with his wife as much as possible.
