Principals

Con Buckley, CA

Con graduated in Commerce with a major in Finance, from the University of British Columbia and obtained his Chartered Accountancy designation in 1972. Con is a senior partner of the firm and his practice is made up of service and manufacturing industries, technology companies and taxation services including estate planning.

He also has extensive experience in finance issues.

Geoff Dodds, CA

Geoff graduated in Commerce with a major in Accounting and Finance, from the University of British Columbia and obtained his Chartered Accountancy designation in 1980. Geoff, a senior partner, is also the managing and personnel partner and his practice consists of audit, accounting, tax, and business advisory services for small to medium sized organizations. He also has extensive experience in public companies and regulatory issues, the film industry, and the hospitality industry. Geoff is also very active in assisting not-for-profit organizations, acting as a Director and Treasurer for various societies including The Peoples Law School, Craft Association of BC, Cuisine Canada, as well as a number of other charitable and cultural societies.

John Parker, CA

John graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration, major in Accounting, minor in Economics from Simon Fraser University and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1987. John brings extensive international offshore audit experience, along with recent small business management experience, while gained as an owner and Chief Financial Officer. John, a Senior Partner, focuses on accounting and financial reporting, taxation and business advisory services for individuals and small to medium sized business in a wide variety of industries. John is actively involved as a Trustee of the Credit Union Foundation of BC and a Director of Island Savings Credit Union.

Our Staff

Jerry Dhamrat, CA

Jerry Dhamrat

Jerry graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia in 2006. He then completed the Diploma in Accounting program at the Sauder School of Business at UBC in 2007 and went on to obtain his CA designation in 2010.

Jerry joined Buckley Dodds as a staff accountant in 2007. He assists our clients with assurance and taxation services. Some of the services he provides include personal & corporate tax returns, compilations, reviews and audits.

In his spare time, Jerry enjoys playing and watching hockey as he is an avid hockey fan.

Dennis George Go

Dennis Go

Dennis graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Accounting in 1986. He obtained his CPA designation in 1987 and MBA in 1989, all from the Philippines. He is currently reviewing for the U.S. Certified Public Accountants examination under the state of New Hampshire.

Dennis joined Buckley Dodds in 2002 as a senior staff accountant. Dennis worked for the Small Business and Tax Group of Ernst & Young, LLP for five years prior to joining Buckley Dodds. He assists our clients with accounting and taxation services. Some of the services he provides include compilations, on-site setup of accounting systems, and extensive tax assistance.

Dennis is a registered Community Service Volunteer of Canada Revenue Agency. In his spare time Dennis enjoys going to the movies, but often you can find him at the office in his free time.

Aaron Triplett, CA

Aaron Triplett

Aaron joined Buckley Dodds as a manager in 2009, after working for another Chartered Accounting firm in Vancouver for 4 years. Aaron graduated in 2005 from Thompson Rivers University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. In 2008, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Vancouver.

Aaron provides accounting, assurance, and business advisory services to privately held and publicly traded businesses.

When not at work, Aaron enjoys hiking, cooking, playing tennis, and walking his dog.

Rick Bains, CA

Rick Bains

Rick graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology. The following year he returned to UBC and completed a Diploma in Accounting, and most recently, in 2011, Rick graduated from the CA School of Business and obtained his CA designation.

Rick has been working at Buckley Dodds since 2007, and in his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and travelling.

Chris Brien

Chris was born and raised in British Columbia. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Royal Roads University in Victoria and is now a student of the CA School of Business, working towards his CA designation. He has several years experience in public accounting along with some entrepreneurial experience.

Chris joined Buckley Dodds as a staff accountant in September of 2008. He assists our clients with accounting and taxation services. Some of the services he provides include compilations, personal tax returns, and audit support.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys biking and playing golf, volunteering in the community, and spending time with his friends and family.

Shiho Wakelin

Shiho graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. After working in the hotel industry for several years, she realized that it was important to obtain a certification in order to establish a career in Canada. She has chosen accounting and is currently working towards her professional designation. She joined Buckley Dodds as a staff accountant in 2009.

Outside of work Shiho enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, playing music, hiking and gardening. She is actively involved in the Vancouver Youth Sport Development Society as a Treasurer and assists the Society in fundraising efforts and preparing and submitting grant requests.

Nancy Zhang, CGA

Nancy graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She obtained her Certified Tax Advisor designation in 2000 and CPA designation in 2002 from China. In 2006, she was qualified as a Certified General Accountant in Canada. She is currently a student of the CA school of Business, working towards her CA designation. She has four years of public practice experience and over ten years of accounting experience, including two years as a payroll administrator and four years of cost accounting experience.

Nancy joined the firm as a senior accountant in August of 2011. She assists our clients with accounting and taxation services. Some of the services she provides include compilations, personal & corporate tax returns, review and audit support.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, public speaking, painting, fashion, walking outside and spending time with her family and friends.

Lillian Wong

Prior to joining Buckley Dodds, she worked as a staff accountant with Margaret Newton & Co. CA for 18 years. During the years with Margaret Newton, Lillian provided clients with accounting, taxation and audit services with an emphasis on reviews and audits of final production cost reports for film and television industries.

Lillian teaches Cantonese in Chinese Schools. She has served as the president and/or treasurer of the strata council of the building she lives in for over 10 years. She attends and volunteers at her church. In her spare time, she enjoys playing badminton, singing, watching television, travelling and enjoying good food with family and friends.

Carol Tong

Carol graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology. Following her degree, she took up accounting and is now working towards her professional designation. Carol enjoys public practice and the opportunities to interact and work with clients from different industries.

Fiona Goud

Fiona joined Buckley Dodds in 1995. As the office manager, she’s the first contact with clients when they call or visit our office. In addition to assisting with client services, she is responsible for accounts receivables, personal income tax returns and all of the office administration services.

While away from the office, she really enjoys fashion, photography, reading, travelling, music, nature, movies, family and friends.
